The Guildford Art Society: Artists : Fiona Holt

At the age of 30 I left a career in research to pursue my art.  That was in 2002 and I have never looked back.  I began with a completely open mind, attended as many lectures and demonstrations as I could and undertook commissions for anything and everything (including several large murals for childrens bedrooms). Six years on I have found my passion in figure and portrait painting which I find adds a crucial emotive quality to my paintings.  I love to use the human form to convey a sense of mood and always welcome portrait commissions.

Since 2002 I have had three solo exhibitions at the Peter Thompson gallery in the Royal Surrey County Hospital, gained exhibiting membership with Guildford Art Society and also exhibited work at Vivartis and in the Apple Gallery in Godalming.
