CHRISTINE CHARLESWORTH SWA ARBS

Born in Staffordshire I studied design at Wolverhampton College of Art. The sculptural form, especially the human body, has always been of particular interest and, following a varied career, I have finally been able to concentrate fully on the form of art that I really love.

I am a member of the Society of Women Artists and the Royal British Society of Sculptors. I have completed a number of private commissions as well as two public commissions. I exhibit regularly at venues with Surrey Sculpture Society as well as the Mall Galleries and Westminster Gallery in London with SWA. Locally I exhibit with Guildford Arts and Guildford Art Society as well as private exhibitions and galleries in Surrey and Cornwall .

I work in clay for casting in bronze and various resins. I specialise in figurative sculptures and portraiture, endeavouring not just to capture a likeness but to show life and natural movement. My work comprises short run limited editions, individual and public commissions.
