I have been painting for over twenty five years and until recently my preferred medium was Watercolour. I love the immediacy and unpredictability of the medium. However over the last 7-8 years the majority of my work has been oils, mixed media and pastels.

Most of my work is either painted on site or developed from sketches. I do believe however, that sound drawing skills provide the basis of all painting , whichever the chosen medium. My work is loose realistic with subjects ranging from marine/river scenes, landscapes as well as portraits and life.

I have been a member of The Wapping Group of Artists for the past 5 years and last year invited to become a member at Chelsea Art Society . I am also an exhibiting member at Guildford and Farnham Art Societies .. This year I have had two pictures accepted at RSMA exhibition at The Mall and also one at The Bankside Gallery in The London Lives exhibition

Since taking early retirement my time is fully occupied holding painting classes on Tuesday at Elstead as well as taking painting days, workshops and demonstrations
