Bernice Grundy

Bernice began painting in 1988 after teaching science for 18 years. She was introduced to watercolour painting initially by Clare Hackney and then began using other media after attending a variety of Adult Education classes and workshops. Colour and the effects of light on subjects such as flowers and landscape continue to attract her attention.

In 1991 she became an exhibiting member of the Farnham Art Society and has exhibited with them at the James Hockey Gallery at UCA and at the Farnham Maltings. In 2002 she joined the Guildford Art Society and has exhibited with them since 2003. Her work was used recently to publicize a Flower Festival in the village where she lives.
